CrossFit Port Clinton's Youth Program is a fun and engaging program designed to introduce children and teenagers to the world of fitness through CrossFit's unique and dynamic approach. Aimed at kids aged preschool-8th grade, this program focuses on building a strong foundation of physical fitness, coordination, and healthy habits in a safe and supportive environment. Through playful and challenging workouts, kids develop fundamental movement skills, gain confidence, and learn the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Our CrossFit Kids program works by incorporating age-appropriate exercises and games that make fitness enjoyable and accessible. Each session is designed to enhance various aspects of physical development, including strength, agility, balance, and endurance. Our experienced coaches use positive reinforcement and fun activities to keep kids motivated and engaged, while also emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship. The program is structured to ensure that children of all fitness levels can participate and thrive.

YOUTH PROGRAM DIRECTOR + COACH

Meet Coach Mikaele! Mikaele has her CrossFit Level 1 and her CrossFit Kids Certificate.

At the heart of our CrossFit Youth program is a simple belief: every kid deserves to feel strong, confident, and capable—both inside and outside the gym.

I’ve spent the last 15+ years working as an Intervention Specialist, and that experience shapes everything I bring into this program. I’ve learned that every child is different, every kid learns in their own way, and the most important thing we can do is meet them where they are and help them grow from there.

I’ve been doing CrossFit for the past 5 years as a member of CrossFit PC, and I’ve seen firsthand the positive changes that come from being part of a supportive, encouraging community. From increased confidence to stronger connections and healthier habits, it’s something I truly believe in. I’m also a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer and CrossFit Kids certified coach, which allows me to safely and effectively bring this style of training to young athletes in a way that’s fun, engaging, and appropriate for their age and development.

This program isn’t just about fitness—it’s about building confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a love of movement that lasts. We focus on effort over perfection and progress over comparison. Some days that looks like big wins, and other days it’s just showing up and trying—and both matter.

My goal is to create a space where kids feel safe, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. Whether they’re brand new or already active, every athlete is welcomed, challenged in the right ways, and celebrated for who they are.

This is more than a workout program. It’s a place where kids can build strength, believe in themselves, and have a whole lot of fun doing it.

Ages

Preschool (Ages 3-5) - 25 minute classes

Kids (Ages 6-8) - 45 minute classes

Pre-teen (Ages 9-11) 1 hour class

Teen (Ages 12-15) 1 hour class
